In olden times news, I’m equipping the Grunt Birthday Party Skull for Halo 3‘s 17th. The AU launch for this was more or less a life event for myself and many of you—to the tune of 50K units ($6M) sold in 24 hours. Perspective check: That was one-in-four Xbox 360 owners, and a bigger dollar debut than the previous title holder, The Lord of the Rings: Return of the King (the film). Personally, I was stoked to finally “finish the fight” and will always have core memories of doing it via 4-player co-op—a feature first for the series. Oh, and the MP vendettas (forged on Guardian against Mark Serrels) were a huge deal at the games mag offices I worked at, too.
