Apex Legends developer Respawn has nerfed the Heat Sink skin iron sights and says it is “improving the competitive integrity of iron sights now and in the future”. French publisher Microids announced the imminent release of Operation Wolf Returns: First Mission, officially licensed by Taito and due out on consoles this autumn. It’s also coming to VR in 2023. Sony has revealed its upcoming PSVR2 headset for PlayStation 5 won’t be compatible with games for the original PSVR. Following yesterday’s Street Fighter 6 closed beta announcement, Capcom has now revealed the full 18-strong character roster coming to the fighting series’ latest instalment on launch day. Xbox boss Phil Spencer has reiterated that Microsoft has no plans to raise the price of its consoles – after Sony stunned fans last month by hiking the price of PlayStation 5. Speaking overnight to CNBC, Spencer noted the current economic issues many were facing, and said Xbox didn’t think it “was the right move for us at this point” to follow suit. “In a time when our customers are more economically challenged and uncertain than ever, we don’t think it’s the right move for us at this point to be raising prices on our consoles,” Spencer said.
