Terraria is the first game on Steam to cross a million reviews and maintain an Overwhelmingly Positive status. The game has received 1,000,308 reviews, 97.86 percent of which are positive, and has an overall rating of 97.11 percent. Netflix’s animated Cyberpunk 2077 series, Edgerunners, is right around the corner, with the streaming service having now slapped it with a 13th September release date and celebrated the announcement with the launch of a “NSFW” trailer. Spade-wielding platform hero Shovel Knight will be embarking on a brand-new adventure on 23rd September, when Shovel Knight Dig launches for Steam, Switch, and Apple Arcade. Shovel Knight Dig, a collaboration between Yacht Club Games and UK studio Nitrome, feels like it’s been a long time coming, having first been revealed all the way back in 2019 – when Yacht Club explained it would take players deep into an “ever-changing chasm of mystery”. Rocksmith+, the new subscription service version of Ubisoft’s long-running guitar learning series, finally has a release date and is coming to PC next Tuesday, 6th September. Rocksmith+ was, you may recall, originally due to launch last summer, but Ubisoft made the decision to postpone its release based on player feedback during its closed beta, saying it wanted to “ensure we provide the best guitar learning experience [and] deliver a smoother experience for all guitar and bass lovers”. PlayStation reassures fans of single-player games as it launches new mobile game studios division
Sony has moved to reassure fans of its big budget single-player PlayStation games, as it announces a fresh PlayStation Studios Mobile Division. Gungrave Gore may be a day one Xbox Game Pass release. That’s according to an Xbox newsletter seen in Europe and shared across social media. DICE has shown off new gameplay footage of Battlefield 2042’s latest map: Stranded. Set in the drained carcass of the Panama Canal, fitting the broader climate-apocalypse theme of the game, Stranded is a small-sized map with a focus on infantry combat. Valve has commenced rolling out a new version of its Steam Mobile app. Not everyone will be able to give it a try just yet, though, as right now it’s only available as part of “a limited beta”.
