The Winter’s Expansion DLC has been announced for Resident Evil Village, including the ability to play as everyone’s favourite vampire mommy Lady Dimitrescu. She’ll feature in the arcade-style The Mercenaries: Additional Orders mode, as well as Chris Redfield and Karl Heisenberg. Mind your head though – you’ll need to duck down through doorways as you slash enemies from nine feet above. Ahead of its full launch at the end of the month, Capcom is giving players the chance to try out Monster Hunter Rise’s massive Sunbreak expansion via an expansive new demo, coming to Steam and Switch tomorrow, 14th June. The new demo will give players the opportunity to explore Sunbreak’s newly revealed jungle locale, a twist on the area first encountered in 2006’s Monster Hunter 2, complete with new elements and endemic life. Demonschool is a tactical RPG inspired by Persona and Italian horror films. Announced at the PC Gaming Show, the game is developed by Necrosoft Games and set for release in 2023 across PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and Nintendo Switch. College is hell in this game, as student Faye – the last living heir to a long-forgotten family of demon hunters – must balance college life with an impending apocalypse. Citizen Sleeper, the acclaimed indie game from In Other Waters developer Jump Over the Age, is getting a bunch of free DLC episodes. Three extra dollops of story will arrive “throughout 2022 and into 2023”, and build on the game’s existing lore with fresh characters and quests. The first of these, Flux, will drop in July and detail the arrival of a refugee flotilla to Erlin’s Eye. It’s a plotline that will continue in October with a second free DLC release, then conclude sometime in 2023. Kojima Productions has issued a statement to fans addressing its future with Sony, following yesterday’s confirmation that Hideo Kojima was now working on a project for Xbox. Of course, Kojima most recently partnered with PlayStation for Death Stranding – and fans of that game are now expecting a Death Stranding sequel, thanks to the loose lips of actor and star Norman Reedus. Kojima’s partnership with Sony was a major coup for PlayStation, and was announced with glee by its then-head Andy House. We may not have got the James Bond Goldeneye announcement that we were all expecting at Microsoft and Bethesda’s showcase earlier this evening, but we did get another look at something pretty damn close to it at the PC Gaming Show – Replicant D6’s Agent 64: Spies Never Die. Its Summer Game Fest time, and things have been kicked off with a trip into outer space. Yes, we have our first look at Dead Space 4. Those pesky Xenomorphs are heading back PC and consoles next year in the newly announced Aliens: Dark Descent.
