Netflix gives first glimpse of Castlevania’s Richter-Belmont-starring animated spin-off
Almost exactly a year after its announcement, Netflix has offered a first tiny glimpse of its animated, French-Revolution-era Castlevania spin-off, revealing its name to be Nocturne. Castlevania: Nocturne will follow the adventures of two characters that should be immediately familiar to fans of the video games – Richter Belmont (a distant descendant of original Netflix series leads Trevor Belmont and Sypha Belndaes) and Maria Renard – with its vampiric action playing out against the backdrop of the French Revolution, circa 1792. Powerhouse, the studio behind Netflix’s original animated Castlevania series will once again be on animation duties for Nocturne, with…

Last night, Naughty Dog officially unveiled its The Last of Us Part 1 remake for the PS5, and confirmed it will also make its way to PC in the future. Ahead of this reveal, we also got our first look at the price – $70 – via a leak online. That in itself was enough to cause many to raise an eyebrow, as while the game certainly does look smoother thanks to its current gen make-over, it is also a game that has been released twice before.Today, we now have even more information on this release, such as the three…
Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest – which aired last night, in case you missed it – will return as both a digital and physical event next year, the host has announced. This will, presumably, put the show in direct competition with E3 – which has also announced a plan to return next year digitally and in-person. Keighley, of course, previously worked on programming at E3 before the two went separate ways. And while the physical E3 event has been cancelled the past two years, Summer Game Fest has been angled as something of a replacement. Read more Source – eurogamer.net…
Hello! Summer Game Fest 2022 has come to a close. The two hour show was packed with fresh trailers for upcoming games. Sprinkled on top were a few announcements, some spoiled (Sony, what did you do?!), some expected, and some completely out of the blue. If you missed the show, fear not: here’s everything announced during Summer Game Fest 2022. Strap yourself in… there’s a lot. First up, Capcom revealed gameplay footage of Guile for Street Fighter 6. Yes, he has a goatee. Yes, he’s still my main. Sonic boom! We then got a reveal for a brand new Aliens…
Oi, guv! There’s a cracking, cockney, knees-up of a trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Darktide here that shows off some gameplay in the most detail yet. Take a look:For the curious, Darktide is a spiritual follow-up to Fatshark’s previous four-player co-op games, Warhammer: Vermintide and Vermintide 2, which are a bit like medieval Left 4 Deads but with giant rats. This one’s set in the even grimmer and darker universe of the year 40K.And it’s all quite supremely 40K, by the looks of things. We get a nice glimpse of the four classes – Psyker, Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn – blowing apart…
While it has been known for a while that Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsay are taking on the lead roles of Joel and Ellie in HBO’s upcoming adaption of The Last of Us, something that we didn’t know was that Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson will also be showing up in it. Baker and Johnson, who play Joel and Ellie in Naughty Dog’s games, took to the stage during Summer Game Fest alongside The Last of Us creator Neil Druckmann. Here, the duo revealed that, while they can’t say which characters they will be playing, they are very excited to…
When you think of CD Projekt Red and the word Cyberpunk together, you do get a certain thought in your head. Yes, we all get visions of that disastrous launch. However, this could all be about to change, as a new trailer and some bonus footage from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners anime has been revealed, and it looks pretty damn amazing in my eyes. The trailer, via Netflix, doesn’t give much away in terms of story beats, but it certainly sets the scene. There is neon, there is angst, there are explostions and gunfire a plenty and, oh yes, there are…
Metro 2033 author Dmitry Glukhovsky has been added to Russia’s federal wanted list following comments about the war in Ukraine.
