The company formerly known as THQ Nordic, Embracer Group, has announced new plans to preserve video games to “archive and save as much of the video games industry as possible”. “For us, games are more than just games. The Russian version of Gotham Knights has allegedly been cancelled. That’s according to The Happy Warrior, which says sources at Warner Bros. Montreal have confirmed the publisher has cancelled the Russian version “due to the political fallout from the Russian invasion of Ukraine”. The rumour is further compounded by confirmation that Gotham Knight’s Russian sub-site has been taken offline; the URL now results in a 404 error (it was still live as at 12th May, according to archive.org). Players can now “start their personal PvP quest for rewards” in New World’s newest mode, Arenas.
