Microsoft will take longer to launch its planned Xbox cloud streaming box, and said it has decided to “pivot away” from the device’s current iteration. While the device, codenamed Keystone, has never formally been shown, earlier leaks pointed to a mini box similar to a shrunk down Xbox Series S, which acted as a hub for Ethernet, USB and HDMI ports. Following a flurry of recent leaks, EA has officially unveiled Respawn Entertainment’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order sequel. It’s called Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and will be out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC some time next year. Following reports of a “game breaking” bug for the Switch Online version of Kirby 64: The Crystal Shards, Nintendo has confirmed a patch to fix the issue will arrive “early next week”. Kirby 64 launched as part of Nintendo’s Switch Online + Expansion Pack retro collection last week, and players soon began reporting a bug in underwater levels – not seen in the 2000 original – that permanently stunned them after taking damage from certain sources. This week, Sony has started rolling out the new PlayStation Plus service with its various tiers including classic games such as PlayStation 1, 2 and PSP titles. A teaser trailer for a new Dragon Quest game has been released, with more information due next month. Dragon Quest Treasures doesn’t yet have an announced platform or release date, but Erik and Mia from Dragon Quest 11 will be the lead characters. Another round of layoffs has hit embattled Mafia 3 studio Hangar 13, with around 50 people affected. It follows an earlier round of job losses last November, when 200 positions were at risk, and the departure of the studio’s head Haden Blackman earlier this month. These latest job losses will affect Hangar 13’s main location in California, Kotaku reported. Staff were informed remotely by Hangar 13’s new boss Nick Baynes, who ran the company’s Brighton location before succeeding Blackman as overall company head. A new update for the Steam Deck has made its remote play together option “completely functional”.This will cover those hosting and those joining a game session. To try it out for yourself, all you need to do is select a game that supports the feature, then head over the Quick Access Menu and you should be ready to roll.As well as updating this feature, users will now also get a message letting them know when their Deck is running out of space. Minecraft’s long-awaited The Wild Update – which includes two new biomes, new mobs, and various other delights – finally has a release date, and will be launching on 7th June. The Wild Update’s first major addition comes in the form of the new Mangrove Swamp biome, bringing mangrove trees and a new natural (and craftable) resource known as mud blocks.
