Budding urban planners that somehow still haven’t found their way toward Colossal Order’s enormously entertaining city builder Cities: Skylines now have no excuse. You can pick up the base game and almost all its DLC on PC for around £16 in the latest Humble charity bundle. Cities: Skylines was a solidly entertaining city builder when it released all the way back in 2015, but seven years of expansions and other post-launch DLC haved created a game of truly amazing scope. However, getting your hands on absolutely everything that’s released thus far is, inevitably, an extremely pricey undertaking even during sale…

As part of its latest earnings report, CD Projekt has shared a revised breakdown of the projects currently occupying the studio’s time, confirming the “bulk of” its development capacity is now focused on Cyberpunk 2077’s story expansion, which is still expected to launch next year. Following Cyberpunk’s disastrous release at the tail-end of 2020, the majority of CD Projekt’s development resources (as shown in the chart below) were focused on remedying the game’s most pressing issues. At the same time, a smaller team was working on its next-gen release, promised long before the project’s launch woes, and an even smaller…

Developer IronOak Games’ wonderful tabletop-RPG-meets-digital-board-game adventure For The King is getting a sequel, and it’ll be making its way to PC some time next year. The original For The King, if you’re unfamiliar, was a thoroughly entertaining (if sometimes brutally challenging) blend of familiar RPG stables – think dungeon crawling, questing, turn-based exploration and combat, loot acquisition, and so on – streamlined into a light-hearted, optionally co-operative rogue-like adventure. More than anything, it was a wonderfully designed little story generator – encompassing everything from haunted carnivals to suffocating jungles – with enough potential combinations across its moving parts to feel…
Microsoft Flight Simulator’s free Top Gun: Maverick expansion has remained something of a mystery since its announcement last June, but now, with the update finally here on Xbox and PC, developer Asobo has detailed exactly what to expect when it’s fired up for the first time. One notable oddity of the Top Gun expansion is that it’ll be launching without what’s arguably its biggest feature: the F/A-18E Super Hornet. However, that’s only because Asobo made the decision to release the plane early as part of last year’s free Game of the Year Edition update when the expansion was delayed alongside…
