If you mixed together Disney’s “It’s a Small World” theme park ride with Indiana Jones and Lord of the Rings, you might end up with something resembling the dungeons of Lost Ark. It’s a game punctuated by set pieces where players roll through enemies like butter, gliding from one room to the next, all with gorgeous special effects and slick combat. There’s nothing subtle or particularly original about Lost Ark’s settings – it combines nearly every MMO and fantasy trope into one leviathan campaign – but that’s not the point. It’s a game about flashy action, power fantasies, and stomping on…

VR mod and this time it allows you to experience the thrills of Cyberpunk 2077’s Night City in virtual reality.Just like Luke’s other R.E.A.L. VR mods there are no motion controls here, only head tracking. This means you will need a controller to play the game but after trying out the mod for myself, I can safely say that this doesn’t detract from the magnificence of the experience at all. Driving through the middle of the busy, neon lit Night City at night…

Elden Ring’s Hidetaka Miyazaki has said that the challenge of From Software’s game is “not something [the studio is] willing to abandon”, even though he himself “dies a lot” in games.”We are always looking to improve, but, in our games specifically, hardship is what gives meaning to the experience,” Miyazaki told the New Yorker. “So it’s not something we’re willing to abandon at the moment. In fairness, the quality of From Software’s PC ports had been improving over time. The original Dark Souls was a disaster, but from its sequel up to Sekiro, PC users received the best versions of those games. Unfortunately, this welcome upward trajectory nose-dives with the release of Elden Ring. Its issues are numerous, but most egregious of all is a persistent stuttering that ruins the flow of the game – it’s a genuinely poor presentation that needs to be addressed urgently.Quite how the game reached consumers in this state isn’t clear, but the ‘why’ does have some level of explanation.…
