Following a smattering of leaks over the past few weeks, Evil Within developer Tango Gameworks’ action-horror title Ghostwire: Tokyo has finally been given an official release date, and will be making its way to PlayStation 5 on 25th March.Ghostwire: Tokyo got its first (and decidedly enigmatic) showing back at E3 2019; one year on, Tango Gameworks revealed the game to be some sort of action-focussed first-person horror experience unfolding on the rain-slicked streets of Tokyo, where players must energetically thrust their supernatural abilities at strikingly designed spirits known as The Visitors.Read more Source – eurogamer.net
Warner Bros has reportedly delayed developer Rocksteady’s video game take on DC Comics’ Suicide Squad series, with the game now expected to launch some time in 2023.Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad, officially titled Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, was announced last August, with publisher Warner Bros confirming it to be an open-world co-op game (and a continuation of Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Universe) set within an open-world version of Metropolis, and designed for up to four players. Valheim dev talks Steam Deck support and biome progress as it celebrates first birthday
Valheim developer Iron Gate Studios has shared a first look at its early access Viking survival game running on Steam Deck – saying it’s hopping to get it “running smoothly” on Valve’s platform for launch – as part of a look ahead at its plans for 2022 and beyond.Writing in a post to mark Valheim’s first birthday – and a phenomenal 12 months for the game – Iron Gate said it “would of course like to have Valheim running smoothly on [Steam Deck] from the start, so that’s something we’re working on at the moment.”Read more Source – eurogamer.net

EA boss Andrew Wilson has said that the FIFA and Apex Legends publisher is not currently looking to get into the NFT business. The next game from Yacht Club Games, the developer famous for Shovel Knight, has been revealed: a brand-new project known as Mina The Hollower.In a first for the company, the game has nothing to do with Shovel Knight. EA admits Battlefield 2042 flopped, but would have been less than 10% of annual revenue anyway
EA has commented on the failed launch of Battlefield 2042, the latest instalment in its flagship shooter franchise which arrived late and with numerous problems.Speaking to investors last night, EA boss Andrew Wilson admitted that Battlefield 2042’s launch “did not meet expectations”.
