Dead Space spiritual successor The Callisto Protocol has been updated overnight with a fresh patch addressing some of the game’s performance and stability issues. Available now on PC, PlayStation and Xbox, the update weighs in at around 11-13GB and also adds “combat improvements… localisation optimisations and general quality of life changes”. A specific fix has been made for an issue on PS4, where the game’s Trophies were not syncing. This has now been addressed. As expected, the Epic Games Store is running its daily giveaway for Christmas once again. Valve is unlikely to soup up the graphical prowess of its Steam Deck in time for the PC gaming handheld’s second generation, the company has indicated. Instead, the next version of Steam Deck is far more likely to see hardware improvements centered around its screen and battery capacity. Henry Cavill will not return to Netflix’s The Witcher show, Variety has confirmed. Some had speculated (hoped?) Cavill would reprise his much-loved role as Geralt after Warner Bros. ditched him as Superman. In October, Netflix announced The Witcher Season 4 and Cavill’s exit from the show. Pokémon’s long-running anime series will say farewell to Ash Ketchum and his loyal Pikachu after 25 years. Ash’s final 11 episodes will begin airing in Japan in January 2023, wrapping up the Pokémon Trainer from Pallet Town’s decades long journey.
