Resident Evil Village’s upcoming VR mode will be available from the launch of PlayStation VR2 as free DLC, Capcom has announced.Following a playable demo at Tokyo Game Show in September, a release date was left in speculation until earlier today.Village will be available to play from day one on PSVR2 (22nd February), and will be a free DLC for all editions of the game. Epic Games has announced it’ll be turning off online services and servers for over 20 titles in the “Epic family” from 24th January next year, including multiple entries in the Rock Band, Dance Central, and Unreal Tournament series. In a post announcing the news, Epic called affected services and servers “out-of-date”, and said it was making the move as it transitions to only supporting its Epic Online Services “with its unified friends system, voice chat features, parental controls, and parental verification features”. Bloober Team – the studio behind psychedelic horror hits including Layers of Fear, Observer, The Medium, and Blair Witch – has announced a new partnership with Take-Two publishing label Private Division that’ll see it creating a new survival horror IP. Announced as part of Private Division’s fifth anniversary celebrations, the new project is said to be in “early development” for unnamed platforms. The Witcher 3 developer CD Projekt Red has released a statement acknowledging the technical issues being faced by many PC players today following the installation of the game’s long-awaited “next-gen update”. Throughout the day, users have been taking to social media and to Steam’s review section to make their feelings clear about the game’s performance on their PC setups. Overall, the suggestion is the game is punishing on CPUs – even high-end ones – if you have ray-tracing switched on. The Callisto Protocol is one of the most visually advanced games currently available. Super Nintendo World opens at Universal Studios Hollywood on 17th February 2023. This the second Mushroom Kingdom theme park area to open globally, following the first’s opening at Universal Studios in Japan in 2021. The two will share a number of similar attractions, including an AR Mario Kart-themed ride, a Mario-themed cafe and exclusive merchandise. Cuphead’s Delicious Last Course DLC has reached 2m sales across all platforms, Studio MDHR has announced. The expansion pack sold 1m copies in July, just a week after it released. As we’ve previously reported, by 2020 the base game sold 6m copies, so it looks like the DLC is selling extremely well to its fans.
