Life is Strange developer Dontnod’s supernatural mystery adventure Tell Me Why is free to download on Xbox and PC (via the Microsoft Store or Steam) in celebration of Pride Month. Yu Suzuki – the legendary designer behind the likes of Sega classics Shenmue, Virtua Fighter, OutRun, and Space Harrier – has unveiled new 3D shooter Air Twister, which is making its way to Apple Arcade on 24th June. Air Twister is a fantasy “swipe” shooter – developed by Shenmue 3 studio YS Net – that asks players, in the role of Princess Arch, to battle alien invaders and save their planet from destruction using their trusty homing arrows. Ofcom has published its annual report into the UK’s online habits – including plenty of stats for how many of us are now playing online games, paying for subscriptions, and trying to beat Wordle. 39 percent of UK adults aged 16 or over play games online, Ofcom says, with 56 percent of children aged three to 15 playing games online. The average time spent each week playing games online was 7 hours and 33 minutes, including PC, console, VR and smartphone gaming. Xbox has announced the next slate of games headed to Xbox Game Pass in June, including Assassin’s Creed Origins. The Egyptian origin story is coming to cloud, console, and PC on 7th June. Perhaps that’s in-line with the – not yet officially confirmed – 60fps update? Space combat game Chorus is also coming on 7th June, across cloud, console, and PC. New content is coming to Konami’s eFootball, but Master League won’t arrive until 2023. The mode is essentially a campaign mode and was popular in the game’s previous iteration as Pro Evolution Soccer. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will be shown off in new detail tomorrow, 1st June, at 2pm UK time. The upcoming duo of games are set to be showcased in fresh footage, which will go live on the Pokémon YouTube channel tomorrow afternoon. As a reminder, Scarlet and Violet mark the start of the pocket monster franchise’s ninth generation. The pair of games are expected to launch for Nintendo Switch at the end of this year.
