Fighting game fans are puzzled as to why SoulCalibur 2 HD – still available to play via Xbox 360 backwards compatibility – has become unavailable to buy on Xbox via the Microsoft Store. The removal was spotted over the weekend by Jon Cartwright and appears to be recent (thanks, VG247). SoulCalibur for the OG Xbox has also been delisted, it was noted, although this seems to have happened some time ago. SoulCalibur 2 HD now shows a “not available separately” message when attempting to buy the game via the Microsoft Store’s website – though it does not appear to be…
The Pokémon Company has seen a record financial year, according to industry analyst Dr. Serkan Toto. A filing in the Japanese government’s official gazette shows sales were up over 70 percent from the previous year to 204bn yen (US$1.6bn), while operating profit was at 59 billion yen (US$460m) and net profit rose 123 percent to 41bn yen (US$320m). Of course, that’s down to some huge game releases over the fiscal year, including Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, Pokémon Unite and New Pokémon Snap. Among the various announcements revealed this weekend as part of Star Wars Celebration, we got news of a Lego BD-1 from Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order (arguably the best thing about the game) headed our way.The new model, which is set to release on 1st August, will have 1062 pieces, and on completion will stand at 31cm. And he won’t just be a static companion to add to your collection. Rather, he will have a head that can be “tilted back, forward and sideways for maximum cuteness”.As well as the ability to pose BD-1, those who purchase their own…
Twitch could soon be changing its policy on offering specific reasons when a streamer is banned. Currently, if a streamer is suspended or banned, they receive a notification that explains which rule has been broken but without further detail. That leaves some streamers unaware of what behaviour broke the rules, or they can feign ignorance. Read more Source – eurogamer.net All content and images belong to their respected owners. Like a fleet of Allied landing craft storming the beaches of Normandy, Sniper Elite 5 has blown me away. I spent most of my weekend with it in a state of delighted befuddlement, constantly muttering ‘isn’t this brilliant?’ as it delivered yet another incredibly designed level to creep around while turning Nazi skulls into cornflakes. I’ve enjoyed Rebellion’s infamously grisly stealth series since the middling V2, but I never thought I’d be writing about it with the kind of breathless excitement reserved for the likes of Elden Ring. With the benefit of hindsight, there were signs Sniper Elite might turn…

Sony says PS5 stock shortages will stabilise, and sales return to PS4-era momentum by 2024
The PlayStation 5’s sales momentum – currently held back by stock shortages – will finally overtake the PS4’s equivalent selling speed by 2024. In a financial presentation last night, Sony exec Jim Ryan noted that, despite a strong launch, PS5 sales were lagging behind PS4 in its equivalent second year owing to supply constraints. Those supply constraints are due to both the Covid pandemic and Russia’s war in Ukraine, but remain a top priority for Sony. The Video Game City Week: Coffee Talk and Necrobarista combine to create the perfect coffee shop
Welcome back to The Video Game City Week. Today, we’re adding a coffee shop.Coffee Talk’s drinks menu and Necrobarista’s aesthetics Whenever I visit a new place – be it to live or for a short trip – one of my first tasks is to find a good coffee shop. Not simply to have a drink, but because a good place to start understanding a city is from a coffee shop’s window seat. From there, you can watch the city’s citizens go by, see the traffic change and glimpse the underlying flow of the city. Yet, that window seat means nothing…
