Fortnite looks set to dramatically upgrade its user-made creative capabilities later this year, when Epic Games releases the Unreal Editor for Fortnite. Speaking to Fast Company, Epic boss Tim Sweeney said the release would allow “the full capabilities that you’ve seen [in Unreal Engine] opened up so that anybody can build very high-quality game content and code… and deploy it into Fortnite without having to do a deal with us – it’s open to everybody”. Eurogamer is delighted to announce the return of its paid work experience programme for ethnic minorities, following its successful debut last year. The programme will once again run for two months this summer, with applications now open, exclusively to those from ethnic minorities who live in the UK. As we wrote last year when launching the scheme initially, the games media has a diversity problem and Eurogamer is no exception. Keeping the ’90s movie trip running – and fresh from showing off half an hour of Stargate: Timekeepers gameplay – we’ve got half an hour of Starship Troopers: Terran Command gameplay. Starship Troopers: Terran Command is a traditional-looking real-time strategy game set in the Starship Troopers universe. As you’d expect, you take command of the mobile infantry and go to war against the Arachnid threat. Publisher Slitherine has shown off half an hour of upcoming real-time tactics game Stargate: Timekeepers, while confirming plans to release a beta to coincide with the much-loved SG1 TV series’ 25th anniversary in July. The video, below, shows the Stargate: Timekeepers segment of Slitherine’s Home of Wargamers event. It debuts the In Plain Site mission, in which the Stargate team, including sniper Max Bolton and technical officer Sam Watson, attempt to put down a sacrifice ritual inside the Jaffa village by disguising themselves as the enemy. The latest episode of the Halo TV show has aired and, well, Master Chief had sex. Not content with taking his helmet off and getting his bum out, the Spartan warrior has now gone all the way. Alan Wake Remastered, the spruced-up version of developer Remedy’s cult-classic action-horror, is officially launching on Switch this autumn. Additionally, the developer has offered an update on its long-awaited Alan Wake 2, saying it has made the decision to delay the larger reveal it had originally told fans to expect this summer. Netflix has dropped two teaser trailers for its live-action adaptation of Resident Evil. The first trailer starts off in New Racoon City in our current year, before fast-forwarding to post-apocalyptic London in 2036.
