The release date of Call of Duty Warzone and Vanguard’s new season has been announced with a new cinematic trailer that appears to hint the arrival of something more sinister. Season three, Classified Arms, is set to release on the 27th April with the franchise’s connected universe storyline progressing with the release of “Nebula bombs” by the Nazis. Scarlet Nexus has seen its player base boosted by a million players from Xbox Game Pass, publisher Bandai Namco said today. The announcement came as the game passed the two million player figure overall – with the other million coming from 1m copies shipped to retailers and sold digitally (thanks, RPGSite).It’s intriguing to see the RPG gain such a large reach through Microsoft’s subscription service – at a time when the power of being included in these has been under the spotlight. The second year of free Assassin’s Creed Valhalla content looks set to continue very shortly, as details of a fresh set of Mastery Challenges have popped up online. The California Department of Fair Employment’s ongoing harassment and discrimination lawsuit against Activision Blizzard – which accused the publisher of fostering a “frat boy culture” in which sexual harassment, assault, and inappropriate behaviour were able to thrive – has taken another dramatic turn. When Digital Foundry reviewed Steam Deck, the overall takeaway was that Valve had delivered by far the most powerful handheld we’d ever seen – to the point where we could take PC ports of console games and run them at PS4-equivalent settings with much the same performance.
