2K is calling time on the poorly-received WWE 2K20, as well as WWE 2K19, and pulling their servers offline. Online functionality for both games will cease on 30th June, meaning no more access to online matches or community-made content. WWE 2K19, released in 2018, was the final game from long-time series stalwart Yuke’s. A new investigation reports that the nuclear disarmament cutscene in Metal Gear Solid 5 was rigged by Konami all along. We reported in 2020 that PS3 players appeared to trigger the secret cutscene by disarming all nukes in the game’s asynchronous online multiplayer mode. Sony has today launched new system updates for the aging PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita, apparently in a bid to enhance their security. Two-factor authentication is now required when signing-in, and certain account features have been disabled (thanks, PushSquare). It is now no longer possible to create a new PlayStation account on either console, for example, instead leaving this to Sony’s more secure website accessible via PC or mobile.
