That existence… is you, operating under the codename Ace.
That’s the essence of the game we’re creating—BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, a roguelike adventure coming to PS5 on February 12, 2026. Today, taking this opportunity, I’d love to walk you through what makes this project special—straight from our dev team, to you.

You’ll recognize that feeling right away—crisp, responsive inputs, stylish combos, and that perfect i-frame when you nail a last-second dodge.
Choose from a roster of beloved characters from the BlazBlue universe as your avatar and unleash their signature techniques—yes, Carnage Scissors and Hiyoku Getsumei included. But this time, it’s not a one-on-one duel. In BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, you’ll face off against surging hordes across ever-shifting dimensions in an action-focused roguelike platform adventure. The Sea of Possibility is envisioned as a descent through multiple levels, each filled with threats you’ll need to suppress while harvesting Shards of Possibility. Along the way, you’ll uncover a completely new, original story that expands the BlazBlue Entropy Effect X universe in unexpected ways. Read the swarm, weave through danger, and strike back with combos and strings that never let up.
Ultimate Buildcraft: Tactics and Potentials
To match the scale of the chaos that players are facing, we built a progression system around two pillars—Tactics and Potentials, designed to evolve your run every time you take a dive into the Sea of Possibility.
Tactics are universal augments shared across all characters. Think of them as special power ups layered onto normal actions: electrify nearby foes while dashing, call down lances of light every time when you trigger a super, or periodically spawn a gravity field that drags enemies into a shredding vortex. They enhance your movement, dodges, and attacks — more effect but not more finger gymnastics.
Potentials, on the other hand, are character-specific upgrades tied to each avatar’s signature moves. They boost damage, speed, and range; unlock new follow-ups; extend i-frames; or even introduce powerful special effects such as hp regen on hit. Because every character has a different way of play, Potentials thus naturally create new strings and combos, and eventually unique playstyles.
Defeat your enemies, make your choice, and keep stacking power-ups — one decision at a time, your build takes shape every time.

With a growing roster of characters from BlazBlue universe, hundreds of Potentials enhance each character’s moveset, and six distinct Tactics styles offering a galore of universal augments that slot onto movement, attacks, and defense, players can get a near-endless combinations and enjoy all different runs every time they take a dive into the Sea of Possibility.
Be it a precision assassin that neutralize any threats before they even blink; a counter-focused sword master who punishes by turning perfect guards into executions; or a calm grand strategist who barely moves while heeding the elemental forces to do the heavy lifting.
