Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 PC Requirement Revealed

Activision has detailed the PC system requirements for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 ahead of its closed beta test this weekend.

The publisher revealed the minimum and recommended specifications in a post on its website. Essentially, playing Black Ops 6 will require nearly the same hardware as what was needed with last year’s Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

That includes the storage required to download the game, which calls for an SSD with 149GB of space. It’s still a lot of room on any kind of device, but at least it’s better than the 300GB rumor that floated around earlier this year. Players can also still cling to the promise that Activision will continue working on customizable download options ahead of the full launch in October.

You can see the full list of PC system requirements below:

    Minimum Requirements

The Black Ops 6 system requirements outline exactly what is needed to experience all three of developer Treyarch and Raven Software’s core offerings: campaign, multiplayer, and zombies. We’ve been drip-fed information about each mode since the latest entry in Activision’s long-running Call of Duty series was officially announced in May. Each component will feature fresh mechanics, too, including omnimovement that aims to give players more control over their characters than ever before.

We’ll learn more about Black Ops 6 when its closed beta begins August 30. This first, early access trial period will be available for Game Pass subscribers and those who pre-ordered on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S until September 4. An open beta for those same platforms will then follow from September 6 to September 9.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S on October 25, 2024. While we wait to go hands-on when its closed beta begins this Friday, you can see the extended look at its campaign that premiered during gamescom Opening Night Live. You can also check out our zombies preview, where we took a look at how this new take on the classic mode will help bring the franchise into the future.
