UPDATE 10/6/22: Following its unveiling during last night’s Day of the Devs showcase, Monument Valley developer ustwo has shared some first gameplay of its upcoming turn-based action title Desta: The Memories Between.
Desta follows the adventures of its titular hero after they return home following the death of their father. Relationships with their friends and family have broken down in the time since their last visit, but help is at hand in the form of a magical old ball that sends them to a world between worlds when they fall asleep.
A first look at Desta’s wonderfully dreamy action was showcased this evening as part of Netflix’s game-focused Geeked Week presentation. The title is set to arrive on mobile in an exclusive partnership with the streaming service later this year, with a PC and console release to follow.
