Blizzard Entertainment, Glass Cannon Unplugged, and Genuine Entertainment have announced a tabletop role-playing game adaptation of Diablo.
Described as a “long-term tabletop gaming programme”, the TTRPG was announced at BlizzCon 2023 with a core book launching fall 2024. The Diablo TTRPG will launch via a pre-order campaign on Kickstarter.
“We’ve spent the past year living the dream with Blizzard,” Glass Cannon Unplugged CEO Jakub Wiśniewski said. “Collaborating with game directors, producers, and loremasters, testing our demon-fighting skills, reading endless tomes. We couldn’t have asked for more access, enthusiasm, and support.”

Hit 2023 video game Diablo 4 inspired the core engine design of the Diablo TTRPG. The game “will further explore the overworld and underworld of Sanctuary, embarking on adventures above and below with fan-favourite mechanics torn straight from the screen.”
“The Core Rulebook is thematically set alongside Diablo 4, with future tabletop supplements planned throughout Diablo’s timeline. Moreover, the TTRPG is a direct companion to the upcoming Diablo: The Board Game, a co-op adventure board game slated for fall 2025.
“The TTRPG and board game will fuel one another with interchangeable game components, shared accessories, and complementary expansions with overarching events in a fully integrated product line.”
Diablo 4 launched in June and became Blizzard’s fastest-selling game of all time, making it an unsurprising choice to base the TTRPG on. It proved popular with players and critics, with IGN’s 9/10 review saying: “Diablo 4 is a stunning sequel with near perfect endgame and progression design that makes it absolutely excruciating to put down.”
