The first ever Bluey video game is releasing on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on November 17.

Outright Games, in partnership with BBC Studios, is opening up the world of the beloved animated preschool series and inviting you to join Bluey and her buddies in an all-new interactive sandbox adventure, aptly titled Bluey: The Videogame, that will give players free rein to explore Bluey’s house and several other iconic locations.

The trailer for Bluey: The Videogame, below, features all of the main characters from the award-winning series, including Bluey, her younger sister Bingo, Dad Bandit, and Mum Chilli, with up to four players getting to play as those characters and experience the colourful world of Bluey with original voice talent from the show.

Since launching in Australia in 2018, Bluey, the TV show, has received consistently high viewership and critical success across the globe. The series follows a loveable Blue Heeler dog who likes to make every day an adventure, playing games that will also appear in the video game, such as “Keepy Uppy” and “Magic Xylophone”.

As well as activities inspired by fan-favourite moments from the show, Bluey: The Videogame will tell a brand-new four-part storyline that players can follow at their own pace, jumping between story quests and activities to earn in-game rewards including new costumes, stickers, playable episodes, and locations.

While the cartoon series mainly appeals to young children, it also boasts several moments for the adults who might be watching. Similarly, the game will be appropriate for both preschool and older fans, with variable difficulty features including UI on/off toggle, simple written on-screen instructions, and full voice-over.

“We’re incredibly excited to be working with BBC Studios as a brand-new licensing partner for Outright Games and to help expand the phenomenal world of Bluey into video games,” said Stephanie Malham, COO of Outright Games. “It is always our goal to create games that can act as an entry point to the world of video games and to some of the most important entertainment franchises on the planet like Bluey. It’s a thrill for us to bring Bluey’s world to life with a level of interactivity that has never been seen before, and by ensuring that the game is accessible and enjoyable for all ages, we know fans across the globe will be delighted.”

“We’re delighted to be working with Outright Games on Bluey’s first video game,” added Kevin Jorge, Head of Games at BBC Studios. “It’s very important for us to capture the essence of fun and games that is central to the series. We know fans will be excited to explore Bluey’s world and join in with the Heeler family’s antics.”

Bluey: The Videogame is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC on November 17, 2023.
