Hi everyone! After around four years of development, we can finally announce that Forever Skies will be coming to PlayStation 5 on April 14, 2025.
Welcome to Forever Skies
For those of you just finding out about our labor of love, Forever Skies is a first-person survival game that takes you on a journey across an ecologically ruined Earth, where you must build and pilot a high-tech airship to survive.
In the PlayStation 5 demo we released back in November, we gave you a basic taste of what to expect. Gather resources, find food and water, build up and pilot your airship, and explore a handful of locations above the toxic clouds. In the full game, you’ll do all this and so much more.
Forever Skies tasks the players to look for a cure for a mysterious illness that has infected the last remnants of humanity who now live in Earth’s orbit. A previous expedition was sent, but all contact was lost, so you’ll need to pick up the trail to figure out what happened and try to complete the mission.
Take on the elements and hostile creatures that will try to damage you and your airship. Research and build advanced technologies to advance your arsenal of survival tools and resources. Explore abandoned facilities in the skies like overgrown greenhouse towers and massive workshops where airships were once manufactured. And eventually, you’ll descend below the toxic dust cloud that has drastically evolved life on the planet’s surface now that humanity is no longer at the top of the food chain.

Play solo or together with friends in online co-op
As you saw, you can do everything in Forever Skies solo or in co-op with up to 4 players all working together on the same airship. Once you pass the tutorial, you can open your game to friends who can come and join whenever they like (provided they’ve finished the tutorial as well). All progress is saved just to the host, it’s up to you how much you want to progress on your own and how much you want to do with your trusted crew.
Playing together helps you run a tighter ship with more hands ready to keep things going. But remember, more people means more mouths to feed, the need for more space and extra spots to sleep, so better start upgrading and expanding your ship as soon as you can.
Pre-orders open now, come with the Supporter Pack DLC
To mark the news of the release, we have also opened pre-orders for Forever Skies, which will let you play the game 72 hours before its official release date.
Additionally, all pre-orders will come with the Supporter Pack DLC, a collection of five in-game cosmetics you can use to decorate your airship base.

Looking ahead
While Forever Skies is set to launch this April, we are already committing to future content and quality-of-life updates to improve and expand the game post-launch.
