Developer 7Levels and Legendary entertainment have announced Kong: Survivor Instinct, a new narrative-driven 2.5D action-adventure game for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S that puts you in the shoes of a father desperately searching for his missing daughter as Titans like Kong and Abaddon – not to mention the enemy mercenary group the Hyenas – get in your way. Kong: Survivor Instinct is due out this Fall. Take a look at the reveal trailer above and the first screenshots in the gallery below.
“7Levels has brilliantly captured a unique corner of the Monsterverse through a gripping 2.5D action-adventure experience, weaving in a very human storyline,” said Legendary Entertainment’s VP of Interactive Media Sam Rappaport. “Experiencing the narrative through the eyes of a civilian, unaffiliated with any agencies, adds a layer of realism and emotional depth that we hope will resonate with our fans.”
Expect gameplay to consist of platforming and combat, with the story set shortly after the events of the 2021 movie Godzilla vs. Kong. Developer 7Levels says, “Titans are always nearby, directly or indirectly impacting your gameplay.”
