It includes the first three Metal Gear Solid games from the PS1 and PS2 era, plus Metal Gear 1 and 2, along with a number of extras. The collection is available to preorder at all the usual retailers (see it at Amazon). Below, we have info about where to get it, how much it costs, what’s included, and more. Let’s dive in.

What Comes in Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1?

The biggest question for Metal Gear fans, of course, is what exactly is included in this collection. Here’s a bullet-pointed rundown:

    Games

    • Metal Gear Solid (including VR and special missions)
    • Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (HD Collection version)
    • Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (HD Collection version)
    • Metal Gear (FC and NES versions)
    • Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake
    • Snake’s Revenge

    Digital extras

    • Metal Gear Solid digital graphic novel
    • Metal Gear Solid 2 digital graphic novel
    • Metal Gear Solid digital soundtrack
    • Digital screenplay books and digital master books for each game (you can see samples of these on the game’s official site)

Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 Preorder Bonus

Preorder either the physical or digital edition of the collection, and you’ll get the following exclusive digital tracks:

    • The Best Is Yet to Come(Master Collection Ver.)
    • Can’t Say Goodbye to Yesterday(Master Collection Ver.)
    • Snake Eater(Master Collection Ver.)

More Info on Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1

For those who don’t want the entire bundle, digital versions of all three Metal Gear Solid games will also be available to purchase individually for $19.99 each.

One thing that’s been bugging PC gamers about this release is that the game won’t support mouse and keyboard controls. Also announced, though without a release date, is that Metal Gear Solid 3 is getting a remake, called Metal Gear Solid Delta.
