Microsoft has announced the first wave of games coming to Game Pass in May 2024. Highlights include Little Kitty Big City, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, and Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons.

First up, on May 2, is Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition across Cloud, Console, and PC. Crystal Dynamics’ action adventure returns to Game Pass as the studio works on a brand new game in the series. IGN’s Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition review returned a 9/10. We said: “TR: Definitive Edition’s good looks are a bonus. It’s still Lara, great pacing, and clever design that make it amazing.”

Next up, on May 7, is Kona II: Brume (Cloud, Console, and PC). This first-person narrative game is set in a rural mining village in Northern Canada in 1970. Then, on May 9, Little Kitty, Big City (Cloud, Console, and PC) launches as a day-one title straight into Game Pass. In this open-world playground you play a cat who tries to find their way back home.

Moving on, Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (Cloud, Console, and PC) returns to Game Pass on May 14. IGN’s Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons review returned an 8/10. We said: “Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is a beautiful and unique twin-stick adventure brimming with imagination.”

The Xbox Game Pass May 2024 Wave 1 lineup:

    • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 2
    • Kona II: Brume (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 7
    • Little Kitty, Big City (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 9
    • Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (Cloud, Console, and PC) – May 14

That rounds out wave one of May’s Game Pass lineup, but it’s worth noting that we know of at least one game coming to Game Pass in the second half of the month: Ninja’s Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2. It’s also worth noting that Microsoft surprise-launched The Rewinder (Cloud, Console, and PC) into Game Pass yesterday, April 29. It’s a 2D puzzle adventure game inspired by traditional Chinese folklore. Meanwhile, Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Survivor (PC and Xbox Series X|S) is also in Game Pass via EA Play, which is part of a Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

As is usually the case, a number of games are set to leave Game Pass this month. You can save 20% off your purchase if you would like to keep them in your library.

Everything leaving Game Pass on May 15:

    • Eastern Exorcist (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • Eiyuden Chronicle Rising (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • Fuga: Melodies of Steel 2 (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • Ghostlore (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • Just Cause 4 Reloaded (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • Norco (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • SD Gundam Battle Alliance (Cloud, Console, PC)
    • Supraland Six Inches Under (Cloud, Console, PC)
