Microsoft Reveals Titles Joining Xbox Game Pass Mid September to Early October 2023

Microsoft has revealed the titles joining and leaving Xbox’s Game Pass subscription service from mid-September to early October, including Payday 3, Gotham knights, and more.

As revealed on Xbox Wire, the upcoming offering includes a grand total of four titles that will release directly onto the subscription service, starting with the raucous multiplayer brawler Party Animals on September 20. Payday 3 meanwhile releases as another Game Pass day-one title on September 21, while the recursive adventure game Cocoon follows suit on October 3, alongside The Lamplighter’s League.

Check out the full cast of games coming to Xbox Game Pass and their respective platforms below:

    • Party Animals (cloud, and console) – September 20
    • Payday 3 (cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – September 21
    • Cocoon – (console, and PC) – September 29
    • Gotham Knights (cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – October 3
    • The Lamplighter’s League (cloud, Xbox Series X|S, and PC) – October 3

Gotham Knights is the only one of the five titles coming during the mid-September to early October period that is already out in the wild. WB Games Montreal’s co-op infused superhero offering invites players to step into the Bat-family’s shoes in the wake of Batman’s death, and defend Gotham against an insidious threat from within.

Payday 3 meanwhile will offer a change of pace for those looking to take a more villainous approach to their gaming pastime by engaging in daring cops vs robbers first-person heist-orientated gameplay. Of course, a life of crime isn’t for everyone. Players looking to take a break from negotiating hostage releases and robbing bank vaults may want to explore the world of Cocoon, from the mind of Jeppe Carlsen, who was one of the developers behind Inside and Limbo.

Cocoon asks players to take control of a tiny winged protagonist, and solve puzzles in a series of recursive worlds in order to reveal the nature of the mysterious game world. The Lamplighter’s League meanwhile offers players the chance to build a team of outcasts and adopt a turn-based approach to combat, and stealth, as you save the world from a supernatural threat.

Microsoft also took the opportunity to announce the slate of titles due to leave Game Pass on September 30, a full list of which can be seen below, courtesy of Xbox Wire.

    • Beacon Pines (Cloud, Console, and PC)
    • Despot’s Game (Cloud, Console, and PC)
    • Last Call BBS (PC)
    • Moonscars (Cloud, Console, and PC)
    • Outriders (Cloud, Console, and PC)
    • Prodeus (Cloud, Console, and PC)
    • Weird West (Cloud, Console, and PC)

Xbox Game Pass has already seen the addition of a number of major games this month, including Bethesda’s sprawling space RPG Starfield, and the dystopian, Soulslike parody of pinocchio, in Lies of P. Be sure to check out IGN’s walkthroughs and guides to get the most out of developer Neowiz’s dark, marionette-infused adventure.
