PlayStation Plus Games for January 2024 Announced

Sony has revealed the PlayStation Plus games for January 2024 will be A Plague Tale: Requiem, Evil West, and Nobody Saves the World.

As detailed by PlayStation.Blog, all three of these games will be available to PlayStation Plus members on Tuesday, January 2, and will be available to download at no extra cost until Monday, February 5.

In addition to these games, PlayStation Plus members will also be treated to an exclusive PlayStation Plus Pack called Warframe: Syrinx Collection. This collection includes the Syrinx Chest Plate, Syrinx Shoulder Plates, Syrinx Leg Plates, Baza Rifle, Cassowar Polearm, Storm Color Palette, Essential Base Damage Mod Bundle, Essential Critical Damage Mod Bundle, 2x Orokin Catalysts, 170 Platinum, 7-Day Affinity Booster, and a 7-Day Credit Booster.

As for the games, A Plague Tale: Requiem will be available to PS5 owners and is the sequel to A Plague Tale: Innocence. This story follows Amicia and Hugo as they travel south after escaping their home. Not all is well there, however, as Hugo’s powers return and “death and destruction return in a flood of devouring rats.”

In our A Plague Tale: Requiem review, we said it is “an impressive sequel to one of my favorite action-adventure games, upping the ante in almost every way. It doesn’t do a ton to distinguish itself from its predecessor in terms of its actual gameplay mechanics, but with a depressing yet awesome story, fantastic graphics, and rat-filled moments that I’ll never forget, this unique adventure very much deserves your attention.”

Evil West will be available to PS4 and PS5 owners and casts you as “one of the last agents in a top secret vampire-hunting institute” who is the “final line between humanity and a deep-rooted terror that now emerges from the shadows.” Evil West can be played solo or in co-op and it features a narrative-driven campaign filled with tons and tons of action.

In our Evil West review, we said it “is a refreshing blast from the past that nails the most important parts of its old-school, vampire-hunting action. The combat is smooth and its weapon options are ludicrously entertaining, but low enemy variety and overly similar level layouts can grow somewhat monotonous after a while.”

Nobody Saves the World is the latest game from Guacamelee! developer Drinkbox Studios and will be available to PS4 and PS5 owners. The game puts you in the shoes of “Nobody,” a character who must, as the title suggests, save the world from an ancient Calamity while turning into a Slug, Ghost, Dragon, and more.

In our Nobody Saves the World review, we said, “The middle of Nobody Saves the World is a lot of fun, but it is bookended by a slow beginning and final hours that lose steam as the campaign comes to an end.”

As a reminder, PlayStation Plus members will have until December 5 to download December 2023’s games, which are LEGO 2K Drive, Powerwash Simulator, and Sable.
