Sequel to Viral Hit Yeah! You Want ‘Those Games,’ Right? Gets Surprise Release

Developer Monkeycraft Co. and publisher D3 Publisher have surprise released Yeah! You Want “Those Games,” Right? So Here You Go! Now, Let’s See You Clear Them! 2 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.

The micro-game collection arrives almost exactly one year after Monkeycraft’s original, bringing enough new mini-games to fill an app store. The bit is that each game featured in Yeah! You Want “Those Games,” Right? is based on some of the mobile game advertisements you’ve likely seen floating around social media. Players have criticized certain ads for not properly representing the actual gameplay being offered – but that’s where Monkeycraft comes in.

Yeah! You Want “Those Games,” Right? 2 costs $9.99 and adds 250 stages across five different stick-figure-centered mini-games. It’s also said to have 30,375,000 nameplate and title combinations, which players can experiment with via an in-game Gotcha! machine. It’s a continuation of last year’s viral hit, which delivered on the promises made by mobile game ads through the years. However, some fans who bought in found that the games they’ve been looking for may not have been worth pining over in the first place.

You Want “Those Games,” Right? currently boasts a “Mostly Positive” banner after 950 reviews on Steam, with its recent reviews sitting at “Mixed.” While many feel the concept was executed well, others have complained of clunky UI issues and a lack of variety among the mini-games. Yeah! You Want “Those Games,” Right? 2 at least adds more of the time-wasters that players have been looking for.

The first Yeah! You Want “Those Games,” Right? came to PlayStation earlier this year. For more, you can read our interview with producer Maya Ito to learn more about how the mouthful of a series came to be in the first place.
