The horrors of Little Nightmares III are just around the corner, with the full game coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC on October 10. This standalone sequel to the hit Little Nightmares I and II will introduce us to new protagonists, Low and Alone, and adds online co-op play on the same platform for the first time in the series’ history. But if you’re itching to discover the distorted horrors of the Nowhere early, we have good news – a free demo is out today.

The demo takes you deep into the Necropolis, a ghost town buried in the sands. The former center of a now-dead civilization, the city feels frozen in time and strangely contorted statues of the Dwellers still haunt its ruins.

Unfortunately, there are some signs of life left here. The terrifying Monster Baby prowls the area, a looming presence shadowing every step you take.

For the first time in the franchise, Little Nightmares III introduces online co-op for friends adventuring on the same platform. Collaboration is the only way forward: solve puzzles together, use your tools and overcome treacherous obstacles. That’s what it takes to survive the horrors that stalk the sands.

In the Necropolis, you will also be introduced to the umbrella, a brand-new mechanic that lets players glide across the desert winds and reach places otherwise out of sight. Timing and coordination become crucial as you and your partner learn to master this tool to progress deeper into the Necropolis.
