A trailer for Sonic Toys Party has appeared online, and revealed gameplay heavily inspired by party game Fall Guys.
The trailer, first published by YouTube channel The Sonic Show, shows familiar Sonic characters compete to qualify by completing a number of stages. It looks like there’s support for up to 32 players, with the likes of Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow, and Tails all shown off. The last player wins. Sonic Toys Party is a mobile game reportedly due out this summer. Sega has yet to comment.
Sonic Stadium reported that Sonic Toys Party is in development at Sega Networks, the division responsible for Sega Pocket Club Manager, and collaborations with other Sega and third-party franchises are planned. Saint Seiya and Persona are mentioned.

It’s a busy time for Sonic. With Sonic Superstars now nearing six months from release, platformer Sonic Dream Team out now on Apple Arcade, the Knuckles spin-off show due out in April, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 hitting theaters in December, there’s plenty for Sonic fans to dig into this year.
In February, Sega issued a financial warning after what it called “sluggish” and “weak” sales during the crucial holiday 2023 period. Reporting its financial performance for the nine month period ending December 2023, Sega said it had revised its sales and profit forecast down “mainly due to weak sales” of new games released during the third quarter of the financial year.
Sega did not reveal individual sales figures for its games, but in November admitted other games had a “significant” impact on Sonic Superstars, specifically. That was a clear nod to fellow 2D platformer Super Mario Bros. Wonder, which launched three days later on Nintendo Switch.
