Valorant Episode 7 Act 3 is launching October 31st and this upcoming update brings in the 23rd Agent to enter the game. The new Duelist is named Iso, a Chinese fixer for hire with unique gun skills that translate to creating bulletproof protecting for himself. Here’s how his kit works!
Iso Abilities:
- E – Double Tap
- Activate your focus timer. When it’s run out, Iso will be able to harvest energy orbs from enemies he downs or damages. Once these orbs are shot, Iso will receive a shield that absorbs one instance of damage from any source.
- Q – Undercut
- Throw a molecular bolt that can pass through walls and other solid objects to catch enemies behind obstacles. When the bolt touches a player, the FRAGILE status will be applied to them.
- C – Contingency
- Iso will assemble prismatic energy that can be fired as an indestructible wall of energy that blocks bullets.
- X – Kill Contract
- Throw a column of energy and this will teleport him and the first enemy hit by his ultimate into a 1v1 arena. The winner leaves the arena and the loser dies.
In talking about the design of Iso, one of the game designers Nicholas Smith stated that he wanted Iso to feel distinct and what he’d call a Juggernaut. “We had a few outputs we wanted to avoid, specifically mobility and healing. It’s why we created the shield and that he’d run a team through and keep on going without mobility or healing.”
Iso seems to have an extremely strong kit that will make him incredibly daunting to face off against. However, his abilities favor players who are highly skilled in precise gunplay so if your best fragger wants to lock-in with Iso in a match, definitely let them take him.
