Whether it&#8217;ll hold up again when the doors open even wider this weekend, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/diablo-4-beta-release-dates-times-how-to-access-9337\">for the open beta<\/a>, we&#8217;ll have to wait and see.<\/p>\n<p>But the other purpose was to show everyone first-hand what Blizzard had been cooking up and to see what everyone thinks of it, and as with players, a wide range of opinions flooded in. Here, I gather a couple of them from within Eurogamer, from senior guides writer Jessica Orr &#8211; who&#8217;s a Diablo 3 regular &#8211; and guides writer Marie Pritchard, who comes to Diablo for the first time. What did they think? And with it, what did you think &#8211; was it what you were hoping for?<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s an exciting moment but it&#8217;s worth remembering, too, that Activision Blizzard is still a company experiencing significant turbulence. As the release of Diablo 4 approaches, concern over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/union-sues-activision-claims-it-unlawfully-fired-two-qa-testers\">working conditions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/video-games\/2022\/12\/08\/diablo-iv-release-date-crunch\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">crunch<\/a> deepen, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eurogamer.net\/microsoft-seeks-to-bolster-activision-blizzard-deal-hopes-by-touting-fresh-10-year-deal\">the undecided future of the company<\/a>, and who owns it, looms large.
