Seth MacFarlane has revealed why Epic Games<\/a> included Family Guy\u2019s Peter Griffin in Fortnite<\/a> with a more muscular body than fans are used to.<\/p>\n

The comedy creator spoke about why the strange but hilarious change was made during a conversation with IGN<\/a> at the premiere of Peacock’s new Ted series. Although the details are a bit fuzzy, it does clear the air at least a little bit.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe\u2019s very muscular in there, right?\u201d MacFarlane said. \u201cI was told that they didn\u2019t have the budget to create his actual body\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The Ted creator went on, comparing Peter Griffin\u2019s ripped new Fortnite physique to a \u201890s TV Guide cover<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo, it was like that TV Guide cover from the \u201890s, where they put Oprah\u2019s head on Ann-Margret\u2019s body. Anybody remember that?\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a story that could\u2019ve been straight out of an episode of Family Guy. Although we don\u2019t know how exactly budget played a part in Peter Griffin\u2019s transformation, at least we know a bit more about the discussions behind the scenes.<\/p>\n

IGN has reached out to Epic Games for clarification on the reasoning behind Peter Griffin\u2019s ripped new look.<\/p>\n

Sharing more about Peter Griffin’s inclusion in Fortnite, MacFarlane said he was one of the few people who didn’t even know what Fortnite was<\/em> before being approached about it.<\/p>\n

\u201cI had to have somebody explain to me what the fuck Fortnite is,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I said, \u2018Well, that sounds kinda cool. Yeah, why not, let\u2019s do it!\u201d<\/p>\n
