Bethesda continues to add support for supersampling technologies in its latest release, as the developer announced that the latest update for Starfield now includes support for FSR 3 and XeSS. <\/p>\n

In a new blog post<\/a>, Bethesda reveals the patch notes for Starfield update 1.9.67. As mentioned, the biggest additions coming into the sci-fi RPG are the inclusion of the third-generation FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) and Intel’s Xe Super Sampling (XeSS<\/a>) tech. <\/p>\n

The announcement is no surprise, considering Bethesda released a beta version on Steam<\/a> that allowed players to access FSR 3 ahead of its official release earlier this month. <\/p>\n

Like Nvidia’s Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), FSR and XeSS are designed to provide more mileage in your PC rigs without working harder. Including these two super sampling techs marks the first official time Starfield has supported the technology. When Starfield launched last year, it only supported FSR 2<\/a> \u2014 with those who wanted other supersampling tech options having to use PC mods<\/a> to access them. Following its September release in November, Bethesda finally added support for DLSS 3.<\/a><\/p>\n

Beyond growing support for additional super sampling technologies, the blog post also revealed that the latest update addressed some minor issues with DLSS. <\/p>\n
