Compulsion Games arrived at today’s Xbox Showcase with a new trailer for South of Midnight, showing off both new gameplay and some lively animation, complete with a couple of cool creatures.<\/p>\n

<\/section>\n

Watch the trailer below. South of Midnight will arrive on Xbox Series X\/S and PC sometime in 2025, although we’re still waiting on a more specific release date.<\/p>\n

South of Midnight was first unveiled during last year’s Xbox Showcase, where it showed off a brief teaser<\/a>. It’s a brand-new IP from We Happy Few developer Compulsion Games, following protagonist Hazel in the American Deep South.<\/p>\n

The new trailer also gives us a preview of what the plot might cover, as it opens with a voiceover of Hazel asking, “Do you think there’s a chance my ma’s still alive?”<\/p>\n

“If your ma’s anything like you, Hazel,” another voice replies, “she’ll keep fighting until we find her.”<\/p>\n
