Final Fantasy 16 producer Naoki Yoshida has responded to the question of a possible PC release. On a Final Fantasy 14 Mahjong stream with the rest of the development team, Yoshida was asked about rumours of a Final Fantasy 16 PC release. “I don’t know where the notion of a PC version releasing six months after the game is out came from as none of us have ever said that. In either case, please buy the PS5 [version]!” he said, as per a translation from streamer and translator Aitai Kimochi. Read more Source – eurogamer.net All content and images belong…
Ever since the late 2000s, achievements have become a staple in gaming. On Steam, PlayStation and Xbox there’s a whole section dedicated to recording and showcasing the trophies you’ve amassed. But developer Fredrik Thylander has stated he believes achievements are bad for gaming. Thylander, a gameplay designer at Ubisoft Massive, previously designed achievements for Mirror’s Edge. On Twitter, he posted the following: “Unpopular opinion: achievements/trophies have been bad for gaming. UK government makes gigabit-capable internet connections mandatory in new England homes

However, a new law, in effect since December, aims to increases that percentage further by making it a legal requirement that new homes are fitted with infrastructure and connections capable of delivering gigabit broadband. “The updated regulations mean that more people moving into new homes will have a gigabit-capable broadband…

A long time ago I was a writer for a games magazine called Edge. I left because I wanted to make games but I kept writing, for myself and for talks that I still irregularly deliver at events. This is one of those, a short (true) story that I never quite figured out a purpose for and I’m pleased it’s finally found a home. If you want an audio version there is one on my never-updated website.Talking of audio: I co-host a radio show, One Life Left, where we’ve been reading out Eurogamer’s news stories and rating games 7/10 for…
