Following its reveal and subsequent delay, Evil West now has a solid release date. So, get your weapons and holsters ready, as we will be blasting off into a rather weird looking version of the Wild West on 20th September.Along with this news, we also have a brand-new trailer to enjoy. Expect plenty of chaos to unfold here, as we meet gunslinging ornery cowboy type Jesse Rentier. To my eyes, Evil West looks like a mashup of Red Dead Redemption and Resident Evil but with more lightning. See what you think below. Read more Source – eurogamer.net All content and…

I can’t deny that Fire Emblem: Three Houses is one of my favourite games this generation. From defying the church to restoring a kingdom, I saw everything each route could offer, yet Three Hopes’ announcement still left me cautious. Following the success of Hyrule Warriors and, of course, Fire Emblem Warriors, Nintendo has once again teamed up with Koei Tecmo for a musou spin-off, swapping Fire Emblem’s tactical RPG gameplay for hack-and-slash combat. I had my doubts at first, but after several chapters those fears are being put to rest. Three Hopes isn’t a simple retelling of Three Houses, nor…

I’d been looking forward to Mario Strikers: Battle League Football because of the chaotic fun I remember having with Mario Strikers Charged, the incarnation of Mario’s souped-up sort-of footy series which launched on Wii an astonishing 15 years ago. Battle League (without the Football outside Europe), which arrives this week for Switch, is the first new version of Strikers since then. But the more I played, the less I found of what I used to enjoy. Battle League is, arguably, a more focused game – and ultimately likely the better representation of small-team football. Aside from the occaisonal frame-rate wobble,…

Intellivision, maker of the beleagured and delayed Amico console, has informed pre-order customers of fresh issues holding up delivery of their systems. A “significant number” of staff have now been laid off in order to meet “dramatically reined in operating costs”, Intellivision boss Phil Adam wrote in an email to customers, which has in turn led to further issues. However, Intellivision appears to be adamant it will still release the Amico at some point. Read more Source – eurogamer.net All content and images belong to their respected owners. Nintendo is reportedly figuring out what to do with a completed sequel to party game 1-2-Switch that has “tested horribly” among its target audience. According to Fanbyte writer Imran Khan, citing multiple sources familiar with the game’s development, Nintendo made the decision to begin work on a 1-2-Switch sequel – reportedly known as Everybody’s 1-2-Switch – after the the original shifted a respectable 3.45m copies. After several iterations, Nintendo is said to have settled on an idea inspired by the Jackbox Party Pack series for its 1-2-Switch sequel, where multiple players (up to 100 in some cases) could use their…

With E3 yet again absent from the gaming calendar and Geoff Keighley readying to return this week with his Summer Game Fest alternative, the ESA has re-emerged with a reminder it’s planning to bring E3 back as both a digital and in-person event next year. The event has been cancelled twice in the last three years – first in 2020 and again this year – with 2021’s virtual event proving to be a decidedly…

Nearly seven months after it released Battlefield 2042 is getting its first season of content on June 9 – introducing a single new map and a new specialist into the mix alongside two new helicopters as well as three new weapons. It is, in short, not looking like an update that will turn the tides for Battlefield 2042, a game that’s struggled since launch thanks to design decisions that sat poorly with players as well as the baffling omission of key features such as a leaderboard and voice chat. Those features have since been reinstated, and Battlefield 2042’s certainly improved…

Minecraft’s long-awaited The Wild Update arrives today and finally adds the game’s intriguing Deep Dark biome: a fresh slab of world for you to explore, underneath the game’s previously-permanent bedrock. It adds new enemies, fancy new building blocks and some odd new structures, left by past explorers. It’s something fans have been wanting to dig into for some time. Mojang originally announced Deep Dark almost two years ago, back at Minecraft Live in 2020. At the time, the biome was set to be part of the game’s 2021 Caves and Cliffs Update (an offering that was further reshuffled after Caves…
