Another huge PlayStation exclusive has found its way over to PC – and the results are spectacular. Sony Santa Monica has collaborated with partner studio Jetpack to produce a superb port for God of War that genuinely elevates the original experience across the board, improving graphical quality, boosting image quality and leaning into worthwhile PC-exclusive technologies such as Nvidia DLSS. Performance is generally excellent too and there’s support for both ultrawide monitors and high refresh rate displays. There’s much to discuss here, so where to begin? My first contact with a PC game usually starts with the user interface and God…

If you’ve been fortunate to get your hands on Sony’s cutting-edge console then of course you’ll want some games to play on it besides the excellent preinstalled Astro’s Playroom. While we’re still in the early years of cross-gen releases, there’s nonetheless been a wide range of games available – whether via download or disc – including renowned exclusives, indie darlings and major…

Yesterday’s announcement that Sony has extended the PlayStation 4’s lifespan thanks to the ongoing supply issues facing the PlayStation 5 means we will remain in console transition limbo for a while longer. Microsoft, meanwhile, has stopped production of new Xbox One consoles, though said back in 2020 that it would continue to support the Xbox One with first-party games for at least two years. Spelunky 2 is here! A sequel to – in my opinion – a perfect game, and yet, a follow up which expands and improves upon the original in ways I didn’t know I wanted.Despite many surface level similarities, your experience with the first won’t automatically equate to you succeeding at the second – perfect for those wanting to relive the Spelunky learning curve all over again.Read more Source – eurogamer.net
Hitman developer IO Interactive has pulled back the curtain on the trilogy’s second year of content, which will include a brand new map and an intriguing new roguelike mode, Freelancer. These additions – as well as some nice tweaks to the game’s visuals, such as improved reflections and shadows via ray-tracing, Intel XeSS support and variable rate shading, are all free and on the way over the coming months. What is Pokémon Legends Arceus? Good question. With just a little over two weeks until its full release, this is by far the most secretive the Pokémon Company has been about one of its core series games, at least in our memory. We have, finally, been treated to an advanced look at the latest overview trailer, however, and that gives us just a little bit more of an idea as to what this game is really all about. It’s still a hands-off preview, though, still just the same trailer that’s been released to the public today, and there were no opportunities…

With only a couple of months to go until the launch of Gran Turismo 7 – be still my heart that beats like a piston – Polyphony Digital is revealing some more of what to expect, including a return of an iconic circuit last seen in 2013’s Gran Turismo 6. Which is to say that Daytona International Speedway is back. You might know the circuit from its slightly fanciful appearance in Sega’s Daytona USA, and while that game remains an all-time great I regret to inform you that the real thing isn’t overlooked by a cliff with Sonic etched into its…
